Ghost and the EA Website
Employ America uses the Ghost platform to run our website and publish our reports, blogs, and newsletters. You can read more about that company and its features and policies at ghost.io.
When you visit www.employamerica.org, the website may automatically send one or more cookies - a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters - to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets Ghost help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the site. A cookie may also convey information to us about how you use our website (e.g., the pages you view, the links you click, how frequently you access our website, and other actions you take on our website), and allow us to track your usage of our website over time. We may collect log file information about your browser or mobile device each time you access our website. Log file information may include anonymous information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, information about your mobile device, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with links on our website, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.
A cookie does not collect personal information about you. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the site, and can be removed by following your web browser’s directions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of employamerica.org may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.
To find more information about cookies, if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your browser, visit the Microsoft Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/info/cookies.mspx; users of Mozilla browsers (including Firefox) should visit http://kb.mozillazine.org/Cookies.
Google Analytics
Employ America may use Google Analytics to help understand how visitors interact with our website and content. This service collects the information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including cookies and your IP address, and their use of it is governed by their Privacy Policy, which you can find here: http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners. You can also view currently available opt-out options at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Although we do our best to honor the privacy preferences of our users, we are not able to respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser at this time.
Information Sharing
Legal disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, or legal process served on our website.
How and when we share information:
Third-party Intermediaries
We use an outside Internet service provider and the Ghost platform to host and maintain our Web servers and bulk email service, and a credit card processing company to process payments for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
Choice/Opt-out
Users who no longer wish to receive our newsletters and/or promotional communications may opt-out of receiving these communications by using the Unsubscribe option on any of our email communications, by managing their communications within their EA login account, or by reaching out to website@employamerica.org and asking that their email be unsubscribed from such communications.

This website takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and off-line.
